The Village of Wellington is run by a local government consisting of a mayor, village administrator, and a six-member council.  Mayor Barbara O'Keefe has served since 1993. The village administrator is Steve Pyles. Karen Webb is the village clerk. The six council members are: Sandy Denes (President), Jeff Hyde, Helen Dronsfield, Steve Maurer, Hans Schneider, and Guy E.
